5 weight loss tips for women!

Continuing the theme of new years resolutions and sticking with your diet, exercise and fitness goals in 2015, here are some further insights to kick start 2015 and help get you (back) on the right path. Found at 'ezinearticles' (http://EzineArticles.com/8868707) and written by Jon Allo (http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Jon_Allo) this might tell you something new, or simply reinforce what you already know - but good advice nonetheless!

Weight loss for women and men is different as men usually want to bulk up and build big muscles, whilst women usually want a toned and more shapely body. There a number of good ways for women to lose weight and some simple things that you can do to make it easier on yourself. Let's take a look at 5 weight loss tips for women that will help you with your new diet goals.

1. Drink Plenty Of Water.
Drinking water is one of the most simple ways to lose weight and you can do it everyday. By staying hydrated, you optimize the amount of calories your body burns each day and therefore burn more body fat. In addition to this, by drinking plenty of water each day, you'll feel fuller and be less prone to overeating. To start enjoying the weight loss benefits of water, simply drink a minimum of 8 glasses per day.

2. Get Somebody To Support You.
When you're trying to lose weight alone, it's easy to make excuses, cheat on your diet and skip workouts. After all, no one will know except you. An accountability partner takes these easy excuses out of the equation by giving you someone to answer to. They'll check in on you and make sure you're sticking to your healthy eating plans, working out regularly and achieving your weight loss goals. If you're not, they'll hold you accountable and help you get back on track.

3. Eat Healthy Snacks.
You may eat a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner but if you neglect your healthy diet between meals by eating sweets, crisps or biscuits you'll end up piling on hundreds of excess calories. There are plenty of healthy snacks that can satisfy your hunger cravings between meals without sabotaging your weight loss goals. Fruits contain around 100 calories per serving and Greek yoghurt is another top healthy snack which packs less than 100 calories per half cup.

4. Consider Resistance Training.
You will not build bulky muscles by including a mixture of resistance, or strength exercises into your exercise plan that work your entire body. Muscle cells burn 3 times more calories than fat cells. When you increase the amount of muscle cells in your body you'll accelerate the rate at which your body blasts through calories. By integrating resistance training into your workout routine, you can enjoy some serious fat burning benefits.

5. Don't Be Too Hard On Yourself.
Negativity and self-criticism destroys thousands of women's weight loss goals every year. As soon as they experience a setback, make a poor dietary choice or skip a workout, they focus all their attention on it and criticize themselves heavily. This negativity often derails their weight loss progress and leads to them quitting. When you do experience a setback, accept it, strive to improve going forward and then move on. Continue with a positive attitude and focus firmly on your weight loss goals.

Quick weight loss from healthy snacking!

Most of us want to lose some weight, even if only a little to get a little more toned, some more definition or for a special event for which you want to look on top form. Sometimes we want to shed that little bit of weight quickly, and it can be done, and that little bit can turn into considerably more with a sustained focus, discipline and effort that will soon become the new normal is you stick with it.

With this in mind what can you do in your daily eating habits to support the cause and get you to where you want to be? I found this at 'articles base' (http://www.articlesbase.com/low-calorie-articles/healthy-snacks-for-quick-weight-loss-6972186.html) and it is written by Carter Perry, and contains some good pointers that you can easily adapt to at snack time in between meals when you need to curb those hunger pains.

Could it be feasible that after eating healthy snacks you may lose your body weight? Fine, the reality is that you can, however on condition that you intermix this with various other practical habits. Why snacking is so important because most of the people rarely focus on it. Hence, in case you're seeing many other facets of your well-being, bettering the level of quality of your appetisers might be the one lacking element that is keeping you away from weight reduction!

Most of us usually take our morning meal quickly and race off to the workplace, after which enjoy an overwhelming lunch followed by an equivalently overweight evening meal at nighttime. This process of dietetic intake will not help you in cutting down your excess fat even if you decide to go on your regular exercise session. Many people start off using weight loss pills in order to keep their tummy full. In the centre of two food occasion, we often really feel hungry and during this time everyone is more likely to make mistakes like grabbing refreshments which neutralise each of the good hard work we make in our exercise routines.

We will most likely not even know it; however the most important disappointment to our vision of developing a slim physique is due to the food we eat in the middle of our daily meals. We must always be educated about the hazards of all the meals plus the beverages in addition to the healthy snacks for fat reduction to succeed in our tasks. Most people, as soon as they consume healthy snacks, started off consuming things like whole wheat bagels, bran muffins and commercial yogurt, you will certainly feel happier using these as compared to the junky varieties. They even include added sugar and are high in calories. What you genuinely wish to search for are unsweetened meals which are all natural, organic as well as lower in body fats or include healthy fats.

Why are healthy snacks handy for quick weight reduction? Below are a few factors:

1. When you have snacks in the middle of daily meals, you'll not eat the most if you take a seat for the primary meals.

2. By sitting down and eating healthy snacks it is possible to fulfil your appetite ache and avert consuming processed food.

3. By regularly eating in little volumes during the day, you assist in increasing your own body's fat burning capacity charge. This results in more calories burning, hence quick weight reduction.

4. Take healthy snacks and make a routine of consuming large amounts of water. This will likely make certain that you remain hydrated. Drinking water also provides you a dose of power, letting you hold lively.

You should have determination while purchasing by not investing in any kind of fast food stuffs at all. No matter if you are hanging out or with friends, courteously decline when someone will give you harmful or fattening snack products. Gently you may overwhelm this routine and be en route to solid, quick weight reduction.

Starting your belly fat busting diet plan!

The previous two Posts, and this one too, remain on the subject of gut busting and shifting that belly fat. You need a plan if you're going to get down & dirty, serious and committed about shedding that belly and slimming down. So once more here are some really useful insights from Jon Allo (http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Jon_Allo) sourced from 'ezinearticles' (http://EzineArticles.com/8588250) to kick start your plan.

The only way that you can establish exactly what belly fat diet plan will work for you is to look at all areas of your lifestyle, from the food you eat, to the exercise that you do. To get a flat tummy, you need to follow a diet and exercise routine that will not only reduce the fat around your middle but also be something that you can stick with.

1. Cut Your Calorie Intake.
In order to get a flat tummy, you first need to trim down your daily caloric intake. You do this by increasing amounts of raw veggies and fruits into your diet. Fruits are a great way to avoid sugar cravings. Some low-sugar high-taste fruits are raspberries, blackberries, papaya, watermelon, strawberries and peaches. But beware of high sugar fruits in your belly fat diet plan and eat them in moderation. High sugar fruits include grapes, pomegranates, mangoes, bananas, cherries, and tangerines. Try to substitute sugar in whatever way you can. If you drink tea, use honey as a sweetener as it will reduce the sugar cravings.

2. Drink Water.
Drinking water is an important part of your belly fat diet plan. Each day, you should aim to drink at least half of your body weight in ounces of water So, if you weigh 150 pounds (approx 68 kilos), you should be drinking 75 ounces of water per day, which is approx 2 litres. Water flushes your system of harmful toxins. It carries oxygen to all of your cells and supports your joints, which will not only helps you to get a flat tummy but can keep arthritis away later on in life.

3. Avoid Cigarettes and Alcohol.
Both smoking and drinking alcohol help fat cells lodge in various parts of your body. Smoking and drinking daily is like having a Big Mac for every meal. Alcohol is very high in calories and and is often consumed in large amounts because it's liquid. It can cause you to collect fat specifically in your abdomen. There's a reason that the term "beer belly" exists so if you want to get a flat tummy, cut down on the booze.

4. Eat More Fibre Rich Foods.
In regards to your belly fat diet plan, try to incorporate as much fibre as possible. Fibre helps maintain a healthy cycle throughout your body. These foods include whole grain bread and pastas as well as fruits and vegetables. These foods help you to get the nutrients you need and they also help you to digest food properly. Many people feel bloated because they're not eliminating waste properly. When you eat a lot of fibre, you help to shrink your waistline.

5. You Can Enjoy Exercise!
Your belly fat diet plan should include some exercise. It's important to find an activity you enjoy otherwise you'll find it very challenging to stick with it. Going to the gym is not the only way to get a flat tummy. There are many activities you can do like walking, jogging, cycling and swimming that all offer easy workouts to lose weight and can be done on your own or with a friend. Try several exercise activities and routines so that you can find something that you like and will enjoy doing on a regular basis.

6. Steer Clear of Processed Foods.
If you want a flat belly, stay away from processed foods that come in a box, can, bag or carton. These foods are often poor quality with no nutritional value at all. Even the 'fat free' versions of processed foods should be used sparingly if you want to get a flat tummy. Manufacturers remove the fat but often add extra sugar to improve the taste which generally results in additional calories. If you are tempted by a bag of potato chips, choose the baked variety. Baked chips contain up to 30% less fat and calories, and best of all, the majority of people cannot tell the difference.

Lose fat fast - the natural way!

We've have said it before and I guess we'll say it again but weight loss is all about the amount of calories that goes in compared to the amount of calories that go out! It is that simple really. The food you eat and the type of foods (and drinks) you consume must be in direct proportion to the amount of exercise you undertake on a daily and weekly basis, and when you get the balance right - hey presto - the weight comes off! By which time, you'll be in a routine to keep it off for good. This article I sourced also from 'articles base' (http://www.articlesbase.com/weight-loss-articles/how-to-lose-fat-fast-naturally-69651.html) and it is written by Jason Rich. Enjoy the quick read - it all adds up!

The first thing you need to know if you want to lose fat is that you need to BURN fat. Burning fat is all about using up more calories than you take in. If you eat more calories than your body uses throughout the day, these additional calories will be stored as body fat.

To prevent a build up of body fat you need to either reduce your calorie intake or increase your daily activity levels - doing both will have the best effect on reducing body fat. This simply means that the more fat you want to lose then the greater the amount of calories you have to burn off. To help you achieve and speed up your fat loss, here are few things that help.

Speed up your metabolism.
Exercise speeds up metabolism. The more active your lifestyle the more likely you are to have a quick metabolism and lose weight.

Metabolism - What is it about?
Metabolism does control weight, this is true. What most people don't know is that they do in fact have the ability to control and adjust their metabolisms and thereby control their weight. Exercise does speed the metabolism up. The more active your lifestyle the more likely you are to have a quick metabolism and lose weight. It may not be healthy for all of us to get into a highly active lifestyle all at once but it is possible to get there as quickly as you safely can as an individual.

Eat a healthy balanced diet.
Be sure to eat a variety of foods, including plenty of vegetables, fruits, and whole grain products. Also include low-fat dairy products, lean meats, poultry, fish, and legumes.

Drink lots of water.
And, go easy on the salt, sugar, alcohol, and saturated fat. A large part of the battle in fighting fat and a slow metabolic rate is the western world's view of food as entertainment.

In addition to taking on an active lifestyle you will need to stop looking at food consumption as a means of gratification. This is what causes us to be gluttons. Instead of stopping when our hunger is sated we continue on until we are stuffed to get more enjoyment out of it.

Get plenty of rest and sleep.
Sleep and other lifestyle patterns can help or hinder the rate at which we metabolize foods. An active lifestyle should lead eventually to being able to exercise to exhaustion; this in turn should keep your metabolism quick and your fat content low. By extending oneself to ones limits you fully utilize the lungs, heart, and muscles and burn fat most efficiently.

Be strong mentally.
Try not to be obsessed by your weight. Everyone has a bad day. Do not punish yourself. Try to lose any guilt feelings towards the mistakes you have done. Instead, just move on, start again and enjoy life as it comes.

Seven calorie burning tips.

Having spent the last few Posts discussing calories, here is another to help you shed those unwanted calories and aid your journey to weight loss and a new healthier fitter toned you! I sourced this article from 'atriclesbase' (http://www.articlesbase.com/weight-loss-articles/7-calorie-burning-tips-44052.html) and it is written by Marjorie E. Nolan - a Registered Dietitian and Certified Personal Trainer. All good stuff that makes sense, and is worth you reading up on.

1) Move More.
Sedentary people burn about one-third less calories per day. By simply taking every opportunity to move can make quite a dramatic difference to the amount of calories you burn in one day. Small movements will add up over time to lots of calories. The trick is to keep moving throughout your day. Write the word ‘move' on post-it notes and put them in places you'll notice them when you're sitting still. Then, take every opportunity to move - here's some ideas for burning extra calories:
  • Tap your feet
  • Swing your legs
  • Stand up and stretch
  • Move your head from side to side
  • Change position
  • Wriggle and fidget
  • Pace up and down
  • Use the restroom upstairs
  • Park in the furthest corner of the parking lot
  • Stand up when you're on the phone and step from side to side
  • Clench and release your muscles
2) Eat Little and Often.
Evidence suggests that eating small meals every 2-4 hours will keep your metabolism burning faster than larger, less frequent meals. When you eat small amounts often your body is constantly working to digest and absorb food which requires energy.

3) Eat Fat.
If you want feel good and keep the fat off you need to first put it in. Fat not only tastes good our bodies need it to work efficiently. By consuming several servings of ‘healthy' fats every day you will actually increase your calorie burning potential. Try incorporating fats like Flaxseed oil, hempseed oil, olive oil, avocados, salmon, albacore tuna, nuts and seeds into your diet daily.

4) Drink Cold Water.
Evidence shows that your body might expend more calories trying to raise cold water to the temperature of your body then hot beverages. And overall being well hydrated will help your body's metabolic processes burn quicker.

5) Exercise With Weights.
Training with weights boosts your metabolism in a number of ways. By lifting weights you will build muscle tissue. And muscle tissue is metabolically active, so it requires calories even when at rest and so it helps to increase fat-burning enzymes in your body.

6) Spice up.
Eating hot spices might speed up your metabolism. Just half a teaspoon of cinnamon per day can help boost metabolism and keep blood sugar levels in check. Can't stand the thought of cinnamon in your morning cup of coffee? Spice up with cayenne, crushed red pepper or wasabi.

7) Eat More Protein.
Protein requires a more complex chemical breakdown by your body in order to be digested and used as fuel. For example, 100 calories of protein may take up to 30 calories to process. Protein also takes longer to digest and helps to stabilize blood sugar for longer periods of time and this can help you to not overeat later in the day. Eat a portion of protein at every meal and as part of your snacks and you will increase the total number of calories you burn each day.
